You weren't buried, you were planted - so bloom!

I recently went through a tough situation. It seemed like a lot going on at home, work, finances and relationships. In fact, there didn’t appear to be one area of my life that wasn’t touched. If I am being honest, I felt alone and buried in a dark place. But we all feel like that from time to time. At first, I kept trying to climb out myself. As I thought more about it, I was trying uncover myself. I was messing up the planting/germination process. The darkness made me feel alone and like God had left. However, this was never true.

Finally, I stopped and used my time alone to spend time with God. In my worship, I heard his voice saying, “I didn’t allow you to be buried. I planted you. With this experience if you simply seek My direction and submit to Me you will bloom.”

We often forget that God is ALWAYS moving in our life. He is the AUTHOR and FINISHER of our faith. That means He is orchestrating my growth and my everything. Part of my and your growth includes the planting process.

Planting has the purpose that something will grow. Gardeners understand that during the planting process, germination is where growth begins. With water and warm air growth is maximized. Thank God for us the Bible tells us God are these things:

John 7:37-39, 37 Now on the final and most important day of the Feast, Jesus stood, and He cried in a loud voice, If any man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink! 38 He who believes in Me [who cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] as the Scripture has said, From his innermost being shall flow [continuously] springs and rivers of living water. 39 But He was speaking here of the Spirit, Whom those who believed (trusted, had faith) in Him were afterward to receive. For the [Holy] Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified (raised to honor).

Job 33:4, The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.

These processes are happening whether we are aware of them or not. God remains faithful to us. Growth is always available as we submit to Him and not keep trying to uncover ourselves. You were not buried, you were planted so bloom!
